Hanuman Baksh Dwarkadas

Hanuman Baksh Dwarkadas is located at Kha-26 in the Surajpole area. This is the older part of the city, where the streets are narrow and everything feels like it has been here for a hundred years. Our shop is no different. We have a very traditional way of doing things. The name itself comes from my grandfather and his father. At Kha-26, we don't have any neon signs or modern displays. We have old wooden counters and shelves that have been here since the beginning. We sell various goods, mostly things that local people need for their homes or small businesses. It’s the kind of place where people come to talk as much as they come to buy. Surajpole is a very lively area, with lots of rickshaws and vendors shouting. Our shop can be a bit dark inside, but it stays cool in the heat because of the thick old walls. We don't really use much technology. Most of our accounts are still kept in those red cloth-bound books. It’s a slow-paced business compared to the new malls, but we like it that way. We know our customers by name, and they know us. Hanuman Baksh Dwarkadas is just a family name we carry, even if we are just a small shop in a busy corner of Surajpole. Every day is a bit of a struggle with the traffic, but we stay open.
