Shiv Kirana & Ganeral Store

Shiv Kirana & Ganeral Store is tucked away in Raghunandanpura, which is part of the Pachcodiya area. To get here, you usually come through Jobner in the Phulera tehsil. It’s a rural spot, and we like it that way. I opened the shop because my family has lived here for generations. We sell everything from cooking oil to washing soap. It’s not just a business for us; it’s a way to stay connected with everyone in the village. On many afternoons, you’ll find a few elders sitting on the bench outside the shop, just talking about the weather or the crops. We don’t mind. It makes the place feel like a part of the community. The inventory can be a bit tricky to manage because the roads get bad during the rainy season, making it hard for the distributors to reach us. But we manage to keep the essentials in stock. I do the lifting and the selling myself. My younger brother helps with the accounts when he’s not busy with his own work. We don’t use any fancy technology here, just a simple calculator and our memory. It’s an honest way to earn a livelihood. We know which family prefers which brand of tea and who needs their groceries delivered to their doorstep because they are too old to walk. It’s a quiet life, but we are satisfied with what we have built here.
