This shop on New Sanganer Road is a bit different because I handle both watches and small electrical items. It is located at D-65 in Ram Nagar, near the Swej Farm area. You will see a lot of wires and light bulbs mixed in with the watch displays. It makes the shop look a bit cluttered, but that is how I like it. People around Sunder Vihar know they can bring me a broken clock or a faulty switch and I will take a look at it for them. The road outside is very busy and the sun hits the front of the shop directly in the afternoon, making it quite warm inside. I have an old ceiling fan that wobbles a bit, but it moves the air around. I spend half my time with a soldering iron and the other half with tiny watch screwdrivers. My workbench is a mess of copper wire and tiny gears. It takes a lot of switching gears in my own head to go from fixing a toaster to repairing a delicate wrist watch. I don't have any staff helping me, so if I’m busy in the back, customers have to wait a minute at the counter. I’ve lived in this part of the city for most of my life. The shop is just a part of the neighborhood. I try to be honest about what I can fix and what is just junk that should be thrown away.
