Sharma Engineering Works

If you head down to the Sitapura Riico Industrial Area, near the Tonk Road, you will find Sharma Engineering Works at J-1063/3. Being near the Jaipur G P O means we are in a spot that a lot of people recognize, even if the industrial area itself is a bit of a maze. It gets really hot here during the summer months, and the metal roof of our workshop doesn't help much, but we have some big fans that keep the air moving. We do a lot of heavy work here. There is always the sound of grinding or welding going on in the background. It isn't the quietest place to work, but it’s where we get things done. We’ve got a small office section where we keep the ledgers and handle the billing, but most of the action happens on the shop floor. We started this place because we knew how to work with our hands and wanted to build something for ourselves. It’s not a shiny corporate office with air conditioning in every corner. It’s a place with grease on the floor and tools on the walls. We get a lot of workers from the surrounding factories stopping by, and there is a sense of community in this industrial zone. We just keep our heads down, do the engineering work that comes our way, and try to stay on top of the orders. It’s hard work but it is honest work.
