Shankar General Store

Shankar General Store is sitting right here at KGB Ka Rasta 78 in Johari Bazar. It’s been a good while since we opened up the shutters for the first time. The street is always moving, people walking by, talking, and just going about their day. We keep the shelves filled with all the usual stuff you’d expect to find in a neighborhood shop. It’s not a big fancy place, just a regular store where you can grab what you forgot to buy earlier. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the narrow lane, but that’s just how things are around here. We know most of the faces that come through the door. It’s a lot of work keeping everything organized, and sometimes the boxes pile up a bit in the back when a new delivery comes in. We don’t really do anything special, just show up every morning and stay until the evening. The floor gets dusty from the street, so we sweep it out when we can. If you are walking down KGB Ka Rasta, you’ll see us there. There’s always something to do, whether it’s counting the stock or helping someone find a specific brand of tea. We just try to keep things simple and make sure the basics are available for anyone who stops by. It is just a part of the daily life in this part of town. Nothing more to it than that, really. It’s just a shop in a busy market. We have lived our lives in these few square feet.
