Shakir Kirana & General Store

We’ve been here in Shastri Nagar at Nahari Ka Naka for quite some time now. It’s just a small shop, number 831, where we keep all the basic things people need for their kitchens and homes. Most of our neighbors know us by name. We open up early and stay open until late evening because that’s when people usually realize they forgot to buy milk or sugar. The shelves are packed with pulses, rice, soaps, and little snacks for the kids who stop by after school. It gets a bit crowded in here sometimes, especially on Sunday mornings when everyone is out doing their weekly shopping. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It is just a regular place where you can find what you need without a fuss. Sometimes the stock takes a day or two to arrive if there's a delay with the truck, but we usually have the essentials. Living and working in the same area means we see the same faces every day, and it feels good to be part of the community. Nothing special, just a local store doing its thing. We try to keep things organized but with so many small items, it’s a constant job. If you’re walking past 831, you’ll see us there. It’s a simple life running a kirana store, but it keeps us busy and we like it that way. No big bells or whistles here.
