Shakambari Kirana Store

Shakambari Kirana Store is out on Sikar Road, specifically at P-C66 in J S Colony. We are right in the middle of Road Number 17 in the Vishwakarma Industrial Area. It is a very different kind of place compared to a regular residential neighborhood. There are a lot of trucks and factories around here, so it gets very dusty and loud during the work hours. I mostly serve the workers who are employed in the nearby industries. They come in for small things like snacks, cigarettes, or basic groceries to take home after their shift. The shop isn't fancy at all; it is just a solid building that keeps the heat out as much as possible. I have rows of jars filled with candies and pulses. Because of where we are, I have to wipe the jars almost every hour to keep the industrial dust off them. It is a tough area, but the people are hardworking and honest. I stay open late because many of the workers finish their jobs at odd hours. Being on Sikar Road means there is always movement, even late into the night. It is just me running the place, and I have learned to recognize the sound of the different factory whistles nearby. It is a practical shop for a busy industrial zone, and we just focus on having what the workers need when they need it. It is simple and it works.
