Sarfaraj Hotel

You can find us over on M I Road, tucked into the Krishna Pal Bazar area at number 330. It’s a very crowded part of town, always lots of people walking by and bikes honking. We opened the Sarfaraj Hotel here because it’s a central spot. The space is simple, just tables and chairs and the kitchen smells. We don't spend much time on decorations or anything like that. It's mostly about getting the cooking done and serving people who are hungry after shopping or working nearby. Some mornings are slow when the shutters are just opening up, but by midday, it gets loud. The staff here mostly lives nearby, so they walk to work. We've seen the neighborhood change over the years, more shops opening up and some closing down, but we stay put. It's a modest place. People come in, eat their fill, and head back out to the bazaar. We don't have a big menu that changes all the time. We stick to what we know how to make. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just keep going. It’s just how it is in this part of Jaipur. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the food is what matters to the people who stop in. We keep things basic and honest here. There isn't any fancy seating or music playing, just the sound of the city outside.
