Saraswati Spin Dye Pvt. Ltd.

Down in the V.K.I. Area, on Road No. 9F1, is where we spend our days at Saraswati Spin Dye Pvt. Ltd. Our building is E-761, and it is a busy place filled with steam and different smells from the dyeing process. You can see the colors on the hands and clothes of almost everyone who works on the floor. We spend a lot of our time moving heavy rolls of material around and checking the temperature of the vats. It is a large industrial area, so there is always a lot of dust in the air and the sound of big trucks reversing outside. We do not have much of a front office to speak of, just a small desk near the door where the ledgers are kept. The walls are a bit stained from the humidity, but that is just how it goes when you work with liquids and heat all day long. We start very early in the morning before the sun gets too high because the machines make the building quite warm. It is a lot of physical labor, dragging heavy sacks and monitoring the spin cycles to make sure everything is moving. Sometimes the color does not come out exactly right on the first try, so we have to go back and do it again. We have lived in this industrial zone for a long time. It is not a quiet job, but it is what we know.
