Santoshi Bhandar

You can find Santoshi Bhandar right near the Satyanarayan Mandir on Naya Sadak. It is a very old part of the neighborhood, and the streets are often packed with people going to the temple or just doing their daily shopping. We’ve been here in this spot for quite a while, and the walls probably have some stories to tell if they could talk. Our space is filled with all sorts of things, and sometimes it feels a bit cramped when a lot of customers come in at once. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If you’re looking for something specific, you usually have to ask because we keep things tucked away in corners. The bells from the temple nearby are a constant sound throughout the day, which is actually quite nice. Naya Sadak is always moving, and we are just one small part of that daily flow. We don't bother with fancy displays or lights. Most people come to us because they know we are here and we’ve got what they need. It gets dusty sometimes with the traffic outside, but we give the counters a wipe and keep going. It’s just a regular local shop where we know many of our neighbors by their first names. We open up early and stay until the evening rush dies down. That’s just how we do things.
