We are located in VPO Bassi, which is in the Chittorgarh district. Sabka Sathi Kisan Producer Company Limited is run with the help of Smt. Anju Kanwar. It’s a local effort, through and through. We don’t have a high-rise office or anything like that. Our workspace is right here in the village where we can be close to the members. Most days involve talking to the local farmers about their needs and how we can move the produce. It’s practical work. We handle a lot of the logistics that come with being a producer company. Sometimes the paperwork is a headache, but we manage to get through it. The atmosphere here is very casual. We don't wear suits; we wear what’s comfortable for being out in the heat. Being in Bassi means we are right in the middle of the action. People stop by at all hours to discuss the market or the weather. We try to be helpful without acting like we know everything. It’s just about being good neighbors and working together. We’ve had some tough years, but that’s just part of the cycle. We don't have a big marketing budget or a polished image. We just have our names and our word. It’s a simple way of living and working. We just do what needs to be done for the day and then start over tomorrow. That is just how we manage things around here.
