S R General Store

Our shop is on Niwaru Road in the Lakshmi Nagar part of Jaipur. S R General Store is located very close to the Shiv Mandir, so we often hear the bells and the prayers in the mornings and evenings. It’s a nice place to have a shop because the area feels peaceful even though the main road is busy. We keep all the daily essentials like milk, eggs, bread, and various grocery items. People usually stop by on their way back from the temple or when they are out for a walk. The shop isn't very large, but we manage to fit quite a lot of stuff inside. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when we get a new shipment of bottled drinks or large tins of oil. I usually sit on a small stool near the entrance and watch the people go by when it's quiet. My family helps me out with the shop, especially during the festive seasons when everyone is buying extra supplies. We don't do any big promotions. We just open the shutters every morning and wait for the customers. It’s a very straightforward way of living. We know the people in Lakshmi Nagar and they know us. We just provide the basic things they need for their homes and try to keep everything running smoothly without much trouble.
