S Kumar Engineers

Being near the Jwala Mata Mandir means we get a lot of people passing by our shop at Plot No. 105 in Bhawani Shankar Colony. S Kumar Engineers has been part of this Jhotwara neighborhood for years. Benar Road is always packed, and the noise from the temple bells and the traffic is just the background of our day. We do a lot of engineering work, mostly small parts and repairs that people need done quickly. Our shop isn’t very big, so things tend to pile up near the entrance. We have a few lathes and some old drills that have been with us since the start. They make a lot of noise, but they are reliable. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us who have worked together forever. We know each other’s habits and how we like the tools organized. Sometimes we have a disagreement about the best way to fix a part, but we usually settle it over tea. The summer months in Rajasthan are tough, and the shop gets really hot, but we keep the fans going and just get on with it. We don't spend money on advertising because the locals know where we are. If someone has a problem with a machine, they just bring it over to Plot 105. It’s a practical way to live, and we are happy staying right here on Benar Road.
