S K Watch Co

Down in the Bhankrota and Heerapura area, S K Watch Co is where we spend our days. It’s not the center of the city, so we have a lot of regulars who live nearby. The shop is a simple setup where we deal with all the common watch issues. We have a counter and a few stools for people to sit on if they’re waiting for a quick fix. There’s always a bit of dust because of the road nearby, but we keep the work area clean for the watches. We handle a lot of different brands, some old and some new. It’s mostly just me and a helper keeping things running. We don’t have any big signs or loud music to bring people in. People just know we are here. A lot of the work is just routine, like changing a battery or fixing a clasp, but occasionally someone brings in an old mechanical piece that requires a lot of patience. We enjoy those challenges. The neighborhood is growing, and we see new faces every now and then, but the core of the business is the same. We open up in the morning, clean the glass, and wait for the first customer. It’s a steady life and we aren't looking for anything more than that. We just want to make sure the watches that leave our shop are ticking properly and showing the right time for the people who wear them.
