Roop Nikhar Sarees

We are over at 3/166, Kiran Path in Mansarovar. It is a quiet enough corner compared to the main markets in the city. I usually get here around ten in the morning and start by dusting off the counters. The shop isn't huge but we managed to fit a lot of stock into the space we have. Most of the people who stop by are from the neighborhood, just walking over from their homes. We have plenty of different sarees, mostly stuff that people can wear every day. It’s a lot of work keeping everything folded neat because once you start showing pieces, they end up all over the place. Mansarovar has grown a lot lately and more shops are opening up, but we’ve stayed right here. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit in the afternoon and we just sit by the door to get some air. I like talking to the regular customers who have been coming since we first opened. It’s not a fancy place with big lights or anything like that. Just a simple shop with a lot of fabric. My brother helps out sometimes when I have to run errands. We don’t do much advertising, people just know we are here on Kiran Path. It’s a steady life. I spend most of my time checking the new bundles that come in every week. There’s always something to do, even when it’s slow.
