Rochee Ram & Sons

We are located at 65 Tripoliya Bazar, right in the middle of all the noise and chaos of the old city. This shop, Rochee Ram & Sons, has been in our family for a very long time. It’s an old building with thick stone walls and high ceilings that keep it somewhat cool. You can really feel the history of the place when you walk inside. Tripoliya Bazar is one of the busiest spots you’ll ever see, with rickshaws and shoppers all squeezed into the same street. We don't have a modern storefront with big glass windows or neon signs. It’s a more traditional setup, with wooden counters and shelves that go all the way to the top. We still use a wooden ladder to reach the stock on the highest shelves. It’s often a bit dusty because the front of the shop is open to the street, but that’s just how bazaar shops are. We don't use any fancy sales tactics or marketing tricks. People come in, ask for what they need, and we go find it for them. It’s a very manual way of doing business, but it has worked for us for decades. We’ve seen generations of the same families come through these doors. Sometimes people stop by just to say hello because they knew my father or grandfather. We don't even use a computer system for everything; we still do a lot by hand. It’s a slow-paced way of working.
