Ridi Sidi Kirana General Store

Out here in Gokulpura, things are a bit different than the main city. Our shop, Ridi Sidi Kirana General Store, is located in the Baad Pitiyawas area. It’s a spot that most locals in Jhotwara are familiar with. We deal with the daily needs of the people living around here. There’s no big corporate office or anything like that, just us at the store. Usually, the day starts quite early when the sun comes up over Jhotwara. We get the milk and the bread sorted out first. The dust from the road sometimes settles on the front, so there is always cleaning to do. It’s a simple kirana store, nothing too complicated. We’ve got the bags of grains and the little packets of spices that everyone uses. People stop by to chat while they pick up their groceries. It’s how news travels in Baad Pitiyawas. You know how it is in a local place like this. We aren't trying to be the biggest, just trying to be here when someone runs out of sugar or tea. The Gokulpura neighborhood is growing, but it still feels like a small community to us. We’ve spent many years behind this counter. It gets hot in the summer, but we keep the fan going.
