Reena Kirana & General Store

Our store is on the 200 Feet Bypass Road in Vaishali Nagar, Jaipur. Being near Karni Palace and Maa Karni Nagar, we see a lot of local traffic. Reena Kirana & General Store is basically a place for the families living around here to get their daily groceries. Jaipur can get incredibly hot, so we try to keep the shop as cool as we can, but it’s a struggle. We sell all the usual things like flour, sugar, and different types of lentils. We also keep some general items that people might need suddenly. The road outside is always busy with big trucks and cars, so it’s never really quiet here. We spend a lot of time shifting bags of grain and making sure everything is priced right. It’s hard work and our hands usually stay dusty from the sacks. We don't have a fancy setup. It’s just a practical shop with wooden counters and shelves full of boxes. People around here know us by name, and we know what they usually want before they even ask. Sometimes the stock doesn't arrive on time, and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s just the way things go sometimes. We are just local people running a local business, trying to make sure the kitchen supplies in the neighborhood don't run out. That is what we do every day of the week. The life of a shopkeeper is mostly just waiting and counting.
