Rarus Gems. Johari Bazar is crowded. Our office is on the second floor of House No 1258. It's an old building on Gopal Ji Ka Rasta. We spend most of our days looking at stones and talking to people who walk in. It gets noisy outside with all the rickshaws and tourists, but we’ve been here a while so we’re used to it. The stairs are a bit steep. Most people know the Goswami Bhawan building around here. We don't have a big fancy lobby. It's just a place where we sit and do our work. We deal with gems because that's what Jaipur is known for, especially in this part of town. Sometimes it gets really hot in the summer, and the power goes out, but we just open the windows. There’s always chai nearby. We try to keep things simple. Dealing with jewelry and stones means you have to be careful with the small details. My desk is usually covered in papers and little packets. We’ve seen the market change over the years. Some days are slow, and some days everyone shows up at once. It’s a busy life in the heart of the city, and we just keep moving along with it. We aren't trying to be the biggest place, just a steady one where people can find us. We make sure to keep the doors open even when the weather isn't great. It's just how things are done here in Johari Bazar.
