A. V. Exim Ltd.

Our place is at 2 Gha 13 in Jawahar Nagar. It’s a standard sort of building in a residential and commercial mix of a neighborhood. A. V. Exim Ltd. isn't a huge company with hundreds of employees. We are just a small group of people who know how to handle exports and imports. The office has white walls and a few old calendars hanging up. We spend a lot of time on the telephone and writing emails. Jawahar Nagar is a good spot because it’s central. We can get to most places quickly from here. Our day usually starts around nine, and we start by checking what came in overnight. There’s a small balcony where we keep some plants, though we sometimes forget to water them. The furniture is a bit worn out, but it’s comfortable enough for a long day. We don't use much fancy software; a lot of our tracking is still done in ledgers or simple spreadsheets. It keeps things clear for us. We don't have a sales team calling people all day. We just wait for the orders to come in and then we pack them up. It’s a straightforward way to run a business. We focus on the physical goods more than the branding. Sometimes the street gets noisy with kids playing or cars honking, but we don't mind it much. It feels like home after being here for so many years now. It's just a regular office life in a regular neighborhood.
