Rao Ji Mart

Rao Ji Mart is located on Chitrakoot Marg, not far from the Sbbj crossing in Vaishali Nagar. If you know Jaipur, you know this area stays pretty active throughout the day. We are at 6/432, and it’s a standard mart where we stock all the daily essentials. We have shelves for spices, grains, and some of the newer snacks the younger crowd likes. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll usually see one of us behind the counter. We don't have fancy uniforms or anything like that. Just regular clothes and a friendly nod. The light inside isn't the brightest, but you can see everything well enough. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the front for a bit while we unload sacks of flour. It’s a bit of a workout moving those around in the Jaipur heat. We try to keep the fridge cold for the milk and soft drinks. People stop by on their way home, often in a hurry, so we try to be quick with the change. There’s always someone asking if we have a specific brand of pickle or a certain type of detergent. If we don’t have it, we try to get it for the next time they come. It’s just about being a reliable place in the community where you can get your groceries without any drama or high prices. Most days are long, but we like the routine of the shop.
