Ram Bhajan Tea Store

Ram Bhajan Tea Store is a small place located near Ajmeri Gate on the Old Amear Road, right at Subhash Chowk. If you live around here, you probably know the smell of our tea brewing early in the morning. We open up before most people are even out of bed. It starts with getting the milk and lighting the stove. The spot at Subhash Chowk is always busy because so many buses and rickshaws pass through. People stop by for a quick cup before heading to work or after a long shift. We do not have much seating, just a few spots where people can lean against the wall and talk. The walls are a bit dark from the smoke of the stove over the years. We do not mind it because it shows how long we have been here. It is just tea and maybe some biscuits, nothing fancy. We know most of our regulars by their faces, even if we do not always know their names. They come in, get their tea, complain about the weather or the price of things, and then they leave. It is a simple rhythm that we have followed for a long time. There is something nice about being part of people's daily routine. We do not use any fancy machines, just a basic pot and a strainer. It is hard work standing on your feet all day, but seeing the crowd makes it okay.
