This office is tucked away on Swarn Path in Mansarovar. If you're looking for Rajeev Masih, this is the spot, at 23/142. We deal with the local news and the paper stuff for Jaipur. It gets really hot in the afternoons here, especially in the summer months, but the office stays okay with the fans going. We have stacks of papers everywhere because that’s just the nature of this business. People come by to drop off news tips or sometimes just to complain about something going on in the neighborhood. We listen to them all because you never know what might be important. It’s a busy street, so there’s always something going on outside the window to look at. We’ve been at this address for a long time now. Everyone in Mansarovar knows the building. We aren't trying to be some big global media house; we just care about what’s happening in Jaipur and the rest of Rajasthan. The printing side of things is a whole different world, but here we do the coordination and the planning. It’s a lot of typing and talking on the phone with reporters who are out in the field. Sometimes we stay late when a big story breaks or there's a deadline. That’s just part of it. We don't have fancy furniture or a coffee machine that makes lattes. We just have a kettle and some old desks. It works for us.
