Our place is located in Govind Nagar East, just off Amber Road. It’s a decent area, though it gets quite crowded during the tourist season. We aren't one of those big, shiny shops you see on the main road. We’re a bit more tucked away, which suits us just fine. Most of our day is spent handling the wool and checking the weaves. It’s hands-on work, and your fingers get rough after a few years of it. We have a small crew, mostly family and a few neighbors. We eat lunch together in the back room most days. It’s not a corporate environment. There’s usually some music playing on a small radio and someone complaining about the heat. We’ve been at this location for a long time. The shelves are sagging a bit under the weight of the rugs, but they hold up. We don't really do much advertising. People usually find us by word of mouth or by just wandering down the street. We just try to be honest about what we have and what it costs. No fancy sales talk here. We just like what we do and we’ve been doing it long enough to know the ins and outs. It’s a quiet, steady kind of life in Govind Nagar. We just keep moving along and making sure every rug is handled right.
