Rajasthani Nagra Shoe Factory

We are based at No. 13 in Jagdish Colony, which sits near Mount Road and the Ramgarh Mode area by Amber Road. It's a bit tucked away, so you have to look for the small sign near the entrance of the colony. Rajasthani Nagra Shoe Factory is a busy little place. We have a handful of workers who have been with us for years. The building is an older structure, but it serves our purpose well enough. We have different sections for cutting, sewing, and finishing the shoes. It can get pretty cramped when we have a big order to finish. There are always piles of soles and leather uppers sitting around. We use a lot of traditional methods here, so there is plenty of hand-work involved. The tea break in the middle of the afternoon is something everyone looks forward to. We usually sit outside for a bit to get some fresh air. The street outside can get muddy when it rains, making it a bit of a mess to get deliveries in. We just deal with it as it comes. It's an honest living and we stay busy most of the year. We don't have a website or a big office, just this workshop in Jagdish Colony. People find us through word of mouth mostly. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a lot of repetition, but there’s a sense of satisfaction when a batch is finally done.
