Rishi Shoes

It’s always crowded here at 44 Badi Chaupar. Being right in the Havamel Bazaar area means there are tourists and locals everywhere. Rishi Shoes has been in this bazaar for a long time. The shop isn't huge, but we pack a lot of shoes into the space. We have boxes stacked up to the ceiling almost. When you’re at Badi Chaupar, you can hear the bells from the temples and the horns from the rickshaws all day long. It’s a lively place to work. We start our day by sweeping the front step and moving some displays out so people can see what we have. Most people walking by are looking at the Hawa Mahal, but some stop in to try on sandals or boots. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just talk to the people who walk in. The address is 44 Badi Chaupar, right in the heart of the market. It gets really hot in the summer, so we have a small fan that rattles in the corner. We know the other shopkeepers around here pretty well. We’ve seen the bazaar change over the years, but Rishi Shoes stays pretty much the same. We just sell shoes and help folks find the right fit. Sometimes the tourists get confused about the directions because of the Badi Chopar name, so we help them out. It’s a simple business. We don't do anything fancy, just sell footwear to whoever needs it.
