We’ve been here on Niwaru Road for quite a while now. We are right across from St. Anselm's North City School. Most people know the spot because of the school traffic that gets heavy in the afternoon. We deal with steel every single day and it is definitely not the cleanest job in the world. Our yard is usually full of dust and the constant sound of metal clanging against metal. The guys are out there from early morning moving heavy rods and sheets. It’s hard work on the back and the hands get really calloused after a few weeks. We don't have a fancy office. It’s just a small room with some old chairs and a desk covered in papers and invoices. We mostly help out local builders and people who are just trying to fix something at their house in Jhotwara. Sometimes when the school lets out, the road gets so blocked that we can’t even get a truck out of the gate for an hour. We just sit and wait it out with a cup of tea. It’s not like those big corporate places with suits and ties. We know most of our customers by their first names and they know us too. We don't use a lot of fancy technology here. We still write a lot of things down in ledgers because it's easier. The sun beats down on the shed in the summer and it gets pretty hot, but we just keep at it.
