Rajasthan Patrika

Rajasthan Patrika is situated at B-12, Shakti Nagar, right off Tonk Road in Jaipur. Now, Tonk Road is one of the busiest stretches in the city, so there is always a lot of traffic and noise outside. But Shakti Nagar itself is a bit of a pocket where we can actually get some work done. Being in Jaipur, it gets incredibly hot in the summer, so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans and cooling are working. The office at B-12 is where everything happens. It’s an old building, or at least it feels like it has some history to it. We don't really bother with the modern glass-and-steel look. It’s more about having a desk and a chair and getting the day's tasks sorted. We are right there in the heart of the city, so everything is close by. We don't have a big corporate manual or anything. We just know what we have to do and we show up to do it. Some days are more chaotic than others, especially when there is a lot going on in Jaipur. But we just keep at it here in Shakti Nagar. It’s a solid place to be based, even with the traffic on Tonk Road. We usually finish up when the sun starts going down and the air gets a bit cooler. It is a long day but we get through it.
