We are located at A-188/B on Road No. 6-D in the Vishwakarma Industrial Area. Rajasthan Mechnical Works Ltd. is basically just one big workshop. You can hear the sounds of the machines running and metal clanging from way down the street. It is a noisy place to spend the day, but that is how we like it. We have got lathes, drills, and all sorts of heavy equipment taking up most of the floor space. There is a small office in the front where we keep the blueprints and the invoices, but most of us are usually out on the shop floor working. The air always smells a bit like oil and hot metal. We have been in this industrial zone for a long time, so we know most of the guys working in the other units around us. It is a gritty, hands-on kind of environment. We do not have any fancy air conditioning in the shop, so we just keep the big bay doors open to let the air circulate. Sometimes it gets quite dusty, but that is just part of the job. We work with our hands and try to make sure everything we build is solid and works like it should. We do not use a lot of big words or have long meetings. We just look at the drawings and get to work. It is a straightforward way to make a living. If you come by, you will see us in our work clothes.
