Raj Gharana Fashions Pvt. Ltd. is another business you will find on M.I. Road. Our space is more of a workshop than anything else. We have sewing machines and rolls of fabric sitting in the corners. It’s not a polished boutique with bright lights and fancy music. It’s a place where we actually make things. The floor is usually covered in bits of thread and cloth scraps that we have to sweep up every evening. We have a few big tables where we do the cutting and measuring. It gets quite warm in the summer, so we have a few old fans that make a lot of noise. We don't have a big sign or any fancy window displays to attract people from the street. Most of the time, we are too busy working on orders to worry about how the front of the shop looks. We’ve been on M.I. Road for many years and we know all the other shop owners around here. We often talk about the weather or how the local traffic is getting worse every single year. It’s a very down-to-earth kind of place. We don't have a mission statement or any of that corporate stuff. We just try to make good clothes and get them out on time to whoever needs them. If someone comes in looking for something, we just talk to them like normal people. We don't use any sales tactics or tricks. It’s just us and our work.
