You can find us at Johari Bazar 38, right in the middle of all the noise and people. It’s a tight space, but we manage to get everything done. Most folks stop by when they are tired from shopping for jewelry or clothes in the market. We serve snacks and cold drinks, nothing too complicated. Sometimes we run out of things if the crowd is too big, but we try to keep the fridge stocked up. The tea is usually ready and the samosas come out hot in the afternoons. It’s a bit of a squeeze when five people try to stand inside at once. We’ve been here for a good amount of time now, seeing the tourists and the locals pass by every single day. The morning starts early with getting the milk and the supplies moved in before the lanes get too crowded with rickshaws. By evening, the whole street is glowing with lights, and we are usually rushing to keep up with the orders. We don't have fancy menus or waiters in uniforms. It is just us behind the counter, handing out water bottles and plates of food. It gets pretty hot in the summer, but the ceiling fan does its best. We like the energy of the bazaar, even if it’s exhausting. It feels good to be part of the daily life here in the city. We try to keep the counters as clean as possible for the next guest.
