Rahul Departmental Store

Rahul Departmental Store is right here in Sodala, Jaipur. People from New Durga Colony and Shushil Pura come by often. We are located at P. No. A-7. It’s a busy spot especially on weekends. I spend most of my time behind the counter or moving boxes around. We have all the basic stuff like flour, sugar, and tea. I try to keep the prices fair because I know how it is for families living around here. Sometimes the kids come in after school for chocolates or chips, and it gets a bit noisy. The shop isn't very big, but we use every inch of the shelves. I’ve lived in this part of Jaipur for years, so I know what people like. If someone needs something special, I try to order it for them next time the supplier comes. It’s a lot of lifting and counting, but that's just how a store works. We keep things simple. You won't find anything too flashy here. Just the daily essentials. I usually close up late once the street gets quiet. It’s a steady life running a place like this in 302019. There’s always someone coming in for a last-minute item they forgot for dinner. I keep the accounts in a thick notebook. It works for us. Every day is a bit different but the work stays the same and we stay busy.
