We're located out at Mangalam Industrial City in Jaitpura. It’s a bit of a trek to Chomu from the center of Jaipur, but this is where the work happens. Being at Plot 82 means we have enough space for the oil pressing and storage. The area is full of warehouses and other factories. It’s dusty and loud most of the time because of the trucks. We don't have fancy office chairs or air conditioning. Most of the time, we're standing on the factory floor checking the containers. The oil business is steady but it’s not something you can rush. We watch the seeds get crushed and the oil come out slowly. It's a very basic process. We’ve been here for a while now. Most of our staff comes from the nearby villages. We have our tea together in the shade of the building when it’s too hot to stay inside. We don’t bother with marketing or big slogans. We just sell what we make to the people who need it. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we spend all day getting our hands dirty fixing it. That’s just part of the job. The floors are concrete and usually stained with oil. We don't mind that. It's an industrial area, not a fancy mall. We just want to produce enough for our customers and keep the machines running. It’s honest work and nothing more.
