R. S. Corporation

Our place is at Door No. B-97 on Kings Road, right in the Nirman Nagar area near Ajmer Road. It’s a solid old building that stays surprisingly cool in the summer. R. S. Corporation has been operating from here for a good while. The office is basically one large room with a few partitions that we put up ourselves. We’ve got some metal filing cabinets that are probably older than some of the staff. It’s not a fancy corporate environment by any means. There’s a small balcony where we go to get some fresh air, though it mostly just overlooks the busy street. Kings Road can get quite congested, so the sound of traffic is pretty constant throughout the day. We don’t really have a formal dress code, so most of us are just in casual clothes. The desks are a bit of a mess with papers and coffee mugs, but we know where everything is. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, whoever is closest just picks it up. We’ve known most of the other business owners on this block for years. It’s a nice community to be part of. We just focus on our daily tasks and try to stay on top of the paperwork. There aren't any big mission statements on the walls, just a few calendars and maybe a map of the city. It’s a practical place for practical work and we like the neighbors.
