R L Enterprise is based out of Shop Number 85 in the Ram Nagar Shopping Center. This is in Shastri Nagar, a part of Jaipur that has its own rhythm. The shopping center is a busy place with all sorts of people coming and going. Our shop is pretty small, and we have it packed from floor to ceiling with whatever we’re trading at the time. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is. Most days are spent unloading crates or checking what’s come in on the latest trucks. We get a lot of walk-in customers who live nearby in Shastri Nagar. It’s a very local feel here. We know the shopkeepers next door and we usually share tea in the afternoons. The shop gets a bit hot in the summer because the ventilation isn't great, so we keep a few fans running all day. We don't have a website or anything like that; people just know we're here. We spend time writing out receipts by hand and keeping our own ledgers. It’s an old-school way of doing things, but it works for us. There’s always someone stopping by for a chat or to check on an order. We don't have any fancy displays, just the goods stacked up and ready to go. It’s a basic business, and we like it that way. We just keep the doors open and see who comes in.
