Priyanka Arts

Priyanka Arts is located at 6/32, Sanga Setu. We are tucked right behind Mahesh Chemicals in the Sanganer area. If you know Sanganer, you know it’s famous for all the printing and art work, but it’s also quite a crowded place to be. You can usually smell the chemicals from the neighboring factory, which is something you just get used to after a week or two. Our workshop is near the bridge, so we hear the traffic passing over Sanga Setu all day long. It’s a bit of a rumble that stays in the background. Inside, the floors are usually stained with different ink colors. We have screens and blocks lying around on various shelves. It’s not the most organized place, but it works for what we do. We have a small courtyard area where we let things dry when the sun is out, though we have to watch out for the dust. The heat in the afternoon can be really something, so we take a long break then. We’ve been here for a good while, and most of the people around here know us. We don’t do any big advertising, people just find us by walking through the lanes or because they know Mahesh Chemicals. It’s a simple life of making things with our hands and hoping the weather stays clear for the drying. We just do our best with what we have.
