You can find us at Podhav General Store on Borring Road in the Shivaji Nagar part of Jhotwara. Our address is 124. It is a very straightforward and simple shop. We sell the things that people actually need for their homes every single day. There is nothing too special or expensive on our shelves. We just keep the basics like flour, cooking oil, and various spices in stock for the local families. The shop is quite small, so we have to use every bit of available space on the walls to hang things up on hooks. It is a family-run kind of thing for us. Usually, one of us is sitting near the front of the store watching the street while waiting for a customer to walk in. Shivaji Nagar is a quiet enough place most of the time, though the main road can get a bit busy during the peak morning and evening hours. We have been here long enough that we know which neighbor likes which specific brand of tea or biscuits. We do not use a lot of modern technology here at the counter. We use a simple paper notebook to keep track of what we need to order for the next week. Sometimes the kids from the houses nearby come in just to buy a single piece of candy. We do not mind that at all. It is just part of being the local general store.
