Payras Dairy & Food Products is located at 71/249, Patel Marg. We are right on Madhyam Marg in Sector-71 of Mansarovar. It’s a very busy area with a lot of people moving around all day long. Our shop isn't very big, but it’s full of stuff. We deal with milk, ghee, and other food items that people need for their kitchens. I spend most of my day behind the counter or checking the refrigerators. Those big cooling units make a constant humming sound that you eventually stop noticing. We get all kinds of people coming in. Some are in a big rush and just grab a packet of milk and leave the change. Others like to stand and talk about the heat or how the traffic in Mansarovar is getting worse every year. We don't have a big corporate team making decisions for us. We just see what the customers want and try to keep it in stock. Sometimes the supply truck from the farm gets delayed because of a strike or bad weather, and we have to explain it to the regulars. They usually understand because they’ve known us for a while. It’s a simple business. We aren't trying to be a supermarket chain. We are just a local shop providing food products to our neighbors. It’s a good way to make a living and we enjoy being part of the community here.
