Parampra

We run a place called Parampra, right at 44 Indira Bazar. If you know the area, you know it’s one of the busiest spots you can find. There are people everywhere and the noise never really stops. Our shop is quite simple. We don't have a lot of flashy signs or anything. It’s just a doorway and a counter with our goods displayed behind us. We’ve been here for a while, so we’ve seen the market change through the seasons. In the summer it gets very hot, and in the monsoon, the rain splashes right up to the step. We just deal with it as it comes. We spend our days talking to customers and trying to keep the stock organized, which is harder than it looks. Everything is a bit dusty because of the traffic outside, but we try to keep it clean. We don't have a big corporate story to tell. We just wanted to have a shop and this is where we ended up. Most of our day is spent handling small tasks and making sure we have what people are looking for. It’s a tiring job sometimes, standing on your feet all day, but it’s what we do. We like being part of Indira Bazar. It feels alive. We just keep our heads down and keep the business going one day at a time.
