Paradise Continental Hotel

We’ve been here in Bani Park for quite a while now. The hotel sits right across from Polovictory Cinema, which is a landmark everyone around here knows. Being at 13 Kanti Nagar means we get a lot of people coming in from the station since it is not a long walk. The building is older, and you can tell by looking at the walls and the way the stairs are built, but we try to keep things tidy enough for the travelers who stop by. The street outside is usually full of noise from the traffic and the movie theater crowds, but it gets quieter once you are inside your room. We have a small staff, mostly local guys who have been working with us for years and know the neighborhood well. People mostly stay here because it is convenient for catching a bus or seeing the sights in the old city. We don't have fancy elevators or a big lobby with marble, but the fans work and the beds are decent for a night’s sleep. Sometimes the water takes a minute to get warm, and the view from the windows is just the busy street below, but that is just how things are in this part of Jaipur. We mostly spend our time making sure the registers are right and the laundry gets done on time. It is just a regular hotel run by regular people who have seen many travelers come and go over the years.
