Pankaj Textiles

Our business is called Pankaj Textiles and you can find us over on Khadi Gramoudyog Road. We are pretty close to the Jaipur Gate in Sanganer. If you know the area, it is famous for all the block printing and fabric work. We have been working out of this spot for a long time now. It is not a very big place and it definitely is not one of those modern factories. We have stacks of cotton cloth all over the floor and shelves. Most of our days are spent checking the prints and making sure the colors are coming out right. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to dry the cloth, especially when it is humid. We do not have a fancy office or any marketing people working for us. It is just me and a few others who know how to handle the material. We usually start quite early when it is still cool outside. Sanganer gets very hot in the afternoons, so we try to get the heavy work done before noon. People come to us because they know we have been here forever. We do not use any big machines, just the old ways. It is a bit dusty and messy around here, but that is just how textile work goes. If you are walking near the Jaipur Gate, you will probably see our workers moving bundles of fabric back and forth across the road. We just keep things simple.
