This is where I work, right here in Janta Colony at B 317. It’s my home and my office all mixed into one. The house is usually full of the smell of flowers or things being prepared for a ceremony. Janta Colony is a tight-knit place, and everyone seems to know what everyone else is doing. I’ve lived here for quite some time, and people just drop by when they need some guidance or a prayer done. My desk is covered in papers and calendars because keeping track of dates is a big part of what I do. It’s not a corporate setup at all. There are cushions on the floor and a small altar in the corner. Sometimes the neighbors’ dogs bark too much, or the electricity goes out for an hour, but that’s just life in this part of town. I don't use any fancy software to do my work; it’s mostly just the books I’ve had for years. When people come over, we sit and talk for a bit before getting down to why they’re actually here. It’s a slow process and I like it that way. I don't see the point in rushing things when it comes to traditions. B 317 is always open to those who know the way. It’s a simple life, focused on the basics and helping the local community whenever I can. That's about all there is to it, just keeping things steady.
