Astha Jyotish

Our place is called Astha Jyotish and we are tucked away near the Jaipur G P O. It’s the Asthajyotish Darbar. If you know the area, it’s pretty easy to find us once you get close to the main post office. This isn't a flashy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s more of a quiet space where we sit down and look at charts. My family has been doing this kind of work for a long time, so it felt right to keep it going here. Every morning starts with some cleaning and getting the books ready. People come in with all sorts of questions about their lives or what might happen next month. We just sit together and talk through what the stars are showing us. Sometimes the answers are simple and sometimes they take a bit of time to figure out. Jaipur is a busy city but inside here it stays pretty calm. We don't spend money on big ads or commercials. Most folks who come here heard about us from a cousin or a neighbor who had been here before. It's just a small local spot where we try to give honest answers based on the old ways of reading the planets. It can be heavy work sometimes because people share a lot of their personal worries with us, but we take that seriously. We’re just here every day, waiting for the next person to knock on the door. The fan makes a bit of a clicking noise, and the sunlight hits the desk.
