If you go into Purohitji Ka Katla in Johari Bazar, you will find us there. Our name says we are from Ajmer and that is where the family roots are. The market is always crowded with people looking for clothes and fabrics for weddings or just for the house. It is loud outside most of the day with the rickshaws and people shouting. Inside the shop it is a bit more organized but still small. We have piles of things stacked up because space is tight in this part of town. We have been in this spot for a long time. People know us as the Ajmer wale because that is how things started years ago. We handle the daily customers and the regulars who have been coming since they were kids. Sometimes the lights flicker when the load is high in the bazaar. We just wait a second and go back to measuring the cloth. It is a simple way to spend the day. My father used to sit here and now I sit here. We don't have big signs or anything like that. People just find their way through the narrow lanes of the Katla. It is a maze if you are not used to it. We keep things moving and make sure the stocks are ready for the next season. It is just basic trading work really. The tea here is good if you get it from the corner stall.
