Johari Bazar is always a bit much, especially on weekends when the lanes get tight and the noise never seems to stop. Pachrangi Silk & Sarees is right here at 263-264, so we see the whole rush every single day from our front door. It is a busy spot. We have been handling silk and different kinds of sarees for a long time now. People come in, they sit down on the floor cushions, and we start pulling things off the shelves. It is not fancy or anything like those big malls you see nowadays. We just have our stacks of fabric and the fans humming overhead. Usually, someone is asking for a specific shade of pink or a heavy border for a wedding. We try to keep things organized but by mid-afternoon, the counters are usually covered in unfolded silk and cotton. That is just how it goes here.
