Our office is over at D-10, Bhagat Singh Marg in Tilak Nagar, right here in Jaipur. Oneplusone Food Ventures Private Limited started because we wanted to do something with food that felt right for this part of town. Jaipur is a big, noisy city but Tilak Nagar has its own feel to it. We spend a lot of our time talking to various suppliers and trying to figure out what people actually want to buy. It is not always smooth sailing. We’ve had plenty of days where the power goes out or a shipment arrives late, and you just have to deal with it as it comes. We aren't a giant corporation with thousands of employees or a human resources department. We are just a few people trying to make a go of it. The paperwork can be a real headache sometimes, especially when the Rajasthan weather gets so hot in the middle of summer, but we stay busy. Being on Bhagat Singh Marg means we see a lot of people passing by our door. We like the energy of the street. We don't spend any money on fancy advertisements or marketing people. Most of our work is just staying organized and making sure the food side of things is handled the way it should be. Sometimes the office gets a bit messy with notes and old files everywhere, but we usually know where everything is. It is a real business run by real people who live right here in the city.
