New Provision Store

New Provision Store is situated on College Road in the Jobner area. If you are anywhere near the G P O, you have probably walked past our shop many times before. We sell all the usual things that people need for their kitchens and for their homes on a daily basis. We have things like flour, various types of pulses, spices, and soaps. It is a very traditional kind of grocery store. We make it a point to open up early in the morning so that people can pick up what they need before they head off to work or before the kids go to school. The students from the nearby college also stop by quite often for snacks or to buy pens and notebooks. It is a bit of a dusty road sometimes, especially when the wind picks up, but this place is home to us. We have large sacks of grain stacked up in the back room. Most of our day is spent weighing out these items and bagging them up for the customers. We know most of the people who walk through our door by their names. This is not like one of those big modern supermarkets where you don't talk to anyone. We often spend a few minutes chatting about the local weather or whatever news is going around the town while we work. The shelves are packed pretty tight with all sorts of jars and packets. Sometimes it takes us a minute to find a specific brand, but we generally know where everything is. It is just a simple life here.
