New Om Fancy General Store

If you walk down Chaura Rasta, you’ll find us at number 209. That’s where New Om Fancy General Store is. It’s a busy street, as anyone in the city can tell you. We’ve got a lot of items packed into the shelves. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough room for everything, but we manage to find what people are looking for. The store has been here through many seasons. We see the same faces every morning when people are out doing their shopping. It’s a bit of a squeeze when the shop gets full, but that’s part of the charm of being on a road like Chaura Rasta. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team. It’s mostly just us behind the counter. My family helps out too when things get busy during the festival times. We try to keep the stock updated, though sometimes things get a bit disorganized when we have a big delivery. You learn to live with the chaos of a general store. The noise from the street is constant, but after a while, you don't even hear the horns and the people talking anymore. It’s just the background to our day. We open up early and stay late most nights. It’s steady work. We aren't trying to be the biggest store, just a place where you can get what you need without a lot of trouble.
