Our shop, Neha, is down in the G-7 basement of Gaurav Tower in Malviya Nagar. It is a pretty well-known building, so most people don't have a hard time finding us once they get to the basement level. Being underground means we don't get any natural sunlight, but it also stays much cooler during the hot Jaipur summers. We have some bright lights to make up for it. The space is quite small, so we have to keep everything tucked into the corners. You can hear the hum of the mall's air conditioning and the music from the other shops nearby. On the weekends, the whole tower gets very crowded with families and kids, and we see a lot of people walking past. Some just peek in through the glass door while others come in to look around. We spend a lot of our time just organizing the items on the shelves or cleaning the floor. It is a simple setup with just enough room for us to move around. Sometimes the basement feels a bit secluded, but we like the quiet when the mall isn't too busy. Most of our regulars are local people from Malviya Nagar who know exactly where to find us. We open up in the morning and stay until late in the evening. There isn't much to it, just a small business in a busy mall. We keep things plain and functional for our daily work.
