Essential Commodities

This shop is in the A Block of Naradpura Jda Colony. We mostly deal with basic things people need every day. It is not a big store, just a regular space at number 546. We spend most of our mornings unloading heavy sacks and checking what came in on the truck. It is mostly stuff like grains or oils, the usual things you would find in a kitchen. The neighbors come by and chat for a bit while they pick up what they need. I have lived in this colony for years so I know most of the faces that walk through the door. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late and it gets a bit chaotic with boxes piled up everywhere. We keep the shelves stocked as much as we can. It is dusty work moving all those heavy bags around all day. The floor is concrete and we have a small wooden desk where we keep the accounts and the pen. My son helps me out after his school hours when he isn’t busy with his own things. We close up when it gets dark outside and the street lights come on. It is a quiet part of the colony mostly. People know where we are if they need something in a hurry. We do not have any fancy signs out front. Just a plain door and the goods stacked up inside. It keeps us busy and pays the bills for the family.
